hey guys, figured I'd see if anyone chimes in here....I'm looking to possibly get back into a 1st. Gen. S-10 Blazer (2dr/2wd) & just came across this:

I love the fact that it looks well taken care of & is owned by the same person for 20+ years. I also like that the trans is rebuilt. The interior seems pretty clean as well. I guess the only thing that would concern me is the mileage, although I know these engines can last much longer. I'm looking for a reliable daily driver that's not extremely modified, to not only take me around town but also to relieve some stress (mileage) from our 2012 Pilot. I'm just wondering what you folks think about it, & what would be a fair offer based upon your observations?



Ironically, I bought my '88 back in 2007 from the Atlanta area. I sold it in '08 and now kinda wish I still had it ....so it's been about 5 years since I was in the market. I gave $3k for it. It had one repaint, a near perfect interior, 17" wheels, 3/3 drop, billet grille, etc. It also had the 4.3/700R combo with 170k+ original miles. Unfortunately, I unexpectedly had to rebuild the trans. shortly after buying. But it was pretty reliable for the year I owned, & it was no doubt one of the cleanest I've ever seen. I only mention this because it's always hard not to compare everything else to what I had. As many here know, I'm an enthusiast who takes pride in clean automobiles. Personally, I feel it's a bit too much $$$. I'd be in the neighborhood of 2,500 for that.

thanks man...i've had several others say $2k max...i've just been keeping an eye on it...actually found a '96 2dr/2wd Yukon that I would rather have...just need my S-10 to sell!

sorry, just saw this...he was at $9k with the new 17/18" billet wheel combo. Only has 92,xxx original miles, 5/7 Belltech drop, billet grille, chrome smoothie front bumper, clear headlights/parking lights/corners, shaved badges/molding, tint, factory white (w/ pearl added)...he bought it out of Cali....but he just recently took down the ad since it hadn't sold...he's planning to do some more cleaning & fix a few small dings....I REALLY would love to have it!...trying to keep in touch & hoping I can make a move before it's gone

yeah, just needs a little interior cleaning...has the typical tear in the leather on the driver's seat...but it's hard to find those 2dr/2wd's anymore, especially in good shape...here's a link to some pictures:

Damn, says it's a private album. Can't see the pics. Have pondered a few times lately selling the ole '89 to get a 2000-2003 suburban (would like more people room). Just can't do it. I've had this truck for over 20 years (since I was 16), but sometimes I wonder if it's time to just let it go.

Sorry, I fixed it. You can try the link again. Yeah, it was hard to let my old '93 fullsize go after 9 years, so I can't imagine after 20! When you hold on to something that long, it becomes quite sentimental; but i know what you mean about more people room (or just cargo room in general). I can't really carry much of anything in my S-10.
