It is possible to use both, but usually not recommended. One problem is a potential scrub line issue: the spindle mounting point moves up and the spring pocket moves down and may put the lower control arm below the level of the wheel, which is dangerous if you get a flat or blow out (and usually illegal too). If you are using a large diameter wheel this isn't a problem. I recommend choosing one or the other and combine with a lowering spring.
